Thank you for starting this Trapp. With the plague still running rampant, and ucb being down a physical building in la, this is an absolute win win for some of us

I'm really looking forward to this. It's always something I've thought about doing but never figured I would. Just crazy to be chasing a dream you know.

I'm really glad there is no way this will end in disappointment in any way. That's probably the best part of this whole journey.

This is already shaping up to be great. I am especially looking forward to sketch dissections. Is there a real reason for including chuffah in sketches?

In my opinion, chuffah can almost always be cut, BUT it does sometimes serve some important functions. If you're doing a stage show with minimal sets, chuffah can help establish the setting. It can also connect your sketch to another, if that's something you want to do (Mr. Show and Monty Python do this). If you have a strong enough joke in your chuffah it can also get a laugh in nice and early to put the audience at ease, a promise that this sketch will, in fact, be funny. And chuffah can establish status differentials between characters: is this a group of equals, or does one character have power over another? But I generally prefer to get to the game of the sketch as quickly as possible, and will try to only include chuffah if I have a compelling reason to do so.
